Technical Consultant

About the position:

TGS is seeking Professional Services Technical Consultants to work with Account Managers in TGS’s Wichita, KS and Southeastern Kansas locations.  In this role, the Technical Consultant will engage with TGS customers to assess, design, implement & optimize our customers IT environments.  TGS has multiple positions open for the following specialty areas:

• Data Center & Virtualization
  • Server
  • Storage
  • Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Containers)
• Cloud & Dev
  • AWS
  • Azure
  • Python
  • Ansible
• Networking
• Cybersecurity
• Collaboration

Responsibilities will include:

• Create documentation associated with projects including:
  • Requirements Documentation
  • Design & Technology Descriptions
  • Implementation & Testing Plans

• Troubleshooting
• Lead Knowledge Transfer sessions with customers and peers

• Continuing education and certifications
• Support the Sales teams

Required skills:

• Candidates must 5+ years’ experience in their technology area of choice
• Certifications – Professional and Expert level certifications are preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate the ability to think strategically and make effective and timely decisions
